How to download the GU Admit Card?

Please follow the below steps to download the GU Admit Card.

  1. Visit the official website of the GU portal guportal.in.
  2. On the left sidebar, click the “Download Admit Card” link.
  3. On the next page, select either registration No. or Roll No. option to download the admit card.
  4. Enter your Registration No. or Roll No. and click the Download Admit Card button.
  5. Your admit card will be downloaded on your device in a PDF file format.
  6. After downloading the admit card, you can take a printout of it.
  7. Please visit the principal office and take the principal sign on it.
  8. Don’t forget to check all the details on the admit card and contact the university in case of a mismatch of any information such as your name, date of birth, father’s name, etc.

How to download the registration certificate?

  2. Click the “Online Document Request” link on the left sidebar.
  3. On the next page, you can request documents online after logging into the portal.
  4. You can log in through an OTP or your password.
  5. If you forgot your user ID then click the forgot user ID link or visit https://www.guportal.in/DocumentRequest/Portal_Forget_RegistrationID.aspx link directly.

Online Student Registration

This is a Student Help Guide to help them fill out their Online Registration Form Step by Step.

Student registration will be completed in two parts.

  1. Generate the Application No.
  2. Complete the Registration Form.

1-How to generate Application No?

Step 1: Visit the GU portal at https://guportal.in/.

Step 2: Click the “New Students Registration & Login” link on the right side. A new web page will appear on the screen.

Step 3: Click on the “New Student Registration” link to start the form filling.

Step 4: Fill out the registration form by entering all required details.

Note: If a student is already registered with Gauhati University then please tick on “Are you already registered in Gauhati University” and enter the University Registration No.

Step 5: Click on the “Register” button to submit your basic details.

Note: This Form will generate Application No. which will be later on used to fill out the complete Registration Form.

Step 6: Note the Application No. and DOB as password, the student will also receive the same in their Registered Mobile Number. Application No. will be used in the second part to fill out the complete Registration Form.

2-How to Complete the Registration Form?

Step 1: Open the same login page and log in with Application No. and DOB to complete the registration process

Step 2: After login, verify all details you have already entered and continue to fill out the registration form by entering the Address and uploading your Photograph and Signature.

Step 3: Click on the “Save & Next” button to save and move to the next page.

Step 4: You can also edit your registration details if there are any incorrect details.

Step 5: Select the declaration and click on the “Accept and Submit” button to submit your Registration Form.

Note: Please verify all details before the final submission because you will not be able to change them after the final submission.

Step 7: After selecting Accept and Submit, you may pay the required fee online.

Step 8: After payment submitting a new tab will appear where you can download the Registration Form.

After successful approval of your application by the college and university you will receive a Registration No. which will be shown in this download section as a Provisional Registration Certificate for your reference.

How to fill out the online examination form?

  1. Visit the GU portal at https://guportal.in/ and click the “Student Portal (Examination Forms Login)” link.
  2. Login to your account by using your login credentials.
  3. Fill out the examination form online by entering all required details.
  4. Pay the required examination fee through the online payment method.
  5. After the payment, you will see a successful message.
