In this article, we will share the upcoming SSC CHSL 2023 exam information. The Indian government has set up the National Recruitment Agency to conduct a Common Eligibility Test for the central government exams at the national level. Common Eligibility Test will replace the primary level exams for all participating agencies. The Tier-1 SSC CHSL exam will also be managed by the NRA CET exam.
The NRA CET exam will be conducted in 2023 but the official notification is not yet released. Once the government released the official notification, we will update all information in this article. We will share the new SSC CHSL exam pattern, new syllabus, new eligibility criteria, and other updated details.
Note: Currently, all the below-mentioned information is for the previous SSC CHSL exam.
Staff Selection Commission has released the official notification on 6th November 2020 for the Combined Higher Secondary Level (SSC CHSL) 2020 recruitment for different posts.
Interested and eligible candidates can submit the online application form on or before 15-12-2020.
It is advised to submit the application form as soon as possible due to a heavy load on the SSC server in the last week of registration.

6th November 2020: The Staff Selection Commission has released the notification for the SSC CHSL 2020 exam on the official website. Please check all details on this page.
5th November 2020: The Staff Selection Commission has released the Answer Keys for the SSC CHSL 2019 Tier-1 exam. Check all details.
1st October 2020: The Staff Selection Commission has released the Skill Test date for SSC CHSL 2018 exam. Those candidates who qualified in the SSC CHSL 2018 Tier-2 result declared on 25th February 2020 and 25th August 2020 can attend the Skill Test which will be conducted on 26th November 2020.
22nd September 2020: As per the revised exam calendar by SSC on 22nd September 2020, SSC CHSL 2020 Tier-1 exam will be conducted from 12th April to 27th April 2021. An official SSC CHSL 2020 notification will be made available on 6th November 2020 and the last date to submit applications is 15th December 2020.
22nd September 2020: As per the latest update shared by the SSC in their exam calendar, SSC CHSL 2019 Tier-2 exam will be held on 14th February 2021.
5th August 2020: A committee has been constituted to handle the grievances of rejected declared candidates in the SSC CHSL 2018 Tier-2 exam on account of UFM. Check the below notice for more details.
21st July 2020: SSC has revised the exam schedule for SSC CHSL 2019 Tier-1 exam for left-over candidates. Now exam will be conducted on the 12th, 16th, 19th, 21st, and 26th of October 2020.
What is SSC CHSL?
Staff Selection Commission-Combined Higher Secondary Level Exam commonly known as SSC CHSL is a national-level competitive exam conducted each year by SSC for the recruitment of Lower Divisional Clerk/ Junior Secretariat Assistant, Postal Assistant/ Sorting Assistant, and Data Entry Operators in various Ministries/ Departments/ Offices of the Government of India.
SSC is a reputed organization of the Indian Government that organizes many Sarkari Exams in India along with the SSC CHSL examination each year.

Candidates who are going to acquire the educational qualification as of 01-01-2020 will also be eligible. Documentary evidence from the Board/ University should be produced as proof.
All candidates who are declared qualified by the Commission for Document Verification will be required to produce the relevant Certificates in original as proof of having acquired the minimum educational qualification on or before 01-01-2020, failing which the candidature of such candidates will be canceled by the Commission.
Reservation:
Reservation for the Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC), Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), Ex-servicemen (ESM), and Persons with Disabilities (PwD), etc. is applicable as per the rules of Government of India.
Only male candidates and persons without Disabilities are eligible for the posts in the Border Roads Organization(BRO).

SSC CHSL 2020 recruitment Process and syllabus:
The SSC CHSL 2020 examination will consist of three rounds:
- SSC CHSL Tier-1 exam (Computer-based examination).
- SSC CHSL Tier-2 exam (Descriptive Paper).
- SSC CHSL Tier-3 exam (Skill Test/ Typing Test).
SSC CHSL Tier-1 exam (Computer-Based Examination):

Tier-1 Examination will consist of objective type of questions and question paper will be available both in Hindi and English language.
There will be a negative marking of 0.50 marks for each incorrect answer. So answer the question only if you think it is correct. The answer key will be updated later on SSC official website.
SSC CHSL Tier-2 exam (Descriptive Paper):
- The descriptive test will be a pen-and-paper mode test where candidates will have to write an essay/ letter/ application within a time duration of 60 minutes.
- The total marks for the Descriptive Test will be 100 and candidates will have to secure at least 33% marks to qualify for the Tier-3 exam.
- Candidates will have the option to write the paper either in Hindi or in English.
SSC CHSL Tier-3 exam (Skill Test/ Typing Test):
After the Tier-2 exam candidates need to appear for the Skill Test/Typing Test at authorized centers of the Staff Selection Commission.

How to Apply for SSC CHSL 2020 exam:

Application fees can be submitted through Credit Card, Debit Card, Net Banking, BHIM UPI, or SBI Challan.
Online fees can be paid by the candidates up to 12-01-2020. Applications without fees will not be considered and will be rejected by SSC.
The application process for SSC CHSL 2020 will consist of two parts.
- One Time Registration
- Filling out Online Application for the Examination
Before proceeding with the One-Time Registration process, make sure that you have the following information/ documents ready:
- A currently working and valid mobile number and email id. Candidates will get OTP for verification purposes while submitting the application form online.
- Aadhaar Number or any other Id proof from the below-given list
- Pan Card
- Voter Id card
- Driving License
- Passport
- Government employer Id
- School/ College Id
- Information about the board exam certificate such as passing marks and year.
- The latest scanned color photograph image in jpeg format has a file size of 20kb to 50kb.
- A scanned copy of the candidate’s signature in jpeg format has a file size of 10kb to 20kb.
SSC CHSL online application process:
- Go to the official SSC website http://ssc.nic.in and click on register now under the login form on the right side of the website.
- Enter all the necessary information and complete the registration process.
- You will receive a registration no. and password.
- Now you may start the online application process.
- Again log in using your unique registration no. and password.
- Complete the application form by filling in all the required details, uploading the required documents, and paying the online application fee as per your category.
- Finally, save a copy of the fee receipt and online application form.
