TS PGECET Exam
Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE) conducts the Telangana State Post Graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test (TS PGECET – 2024) every year to manage admission into post-graduation courses such as Engineering, Technology, Architecture, Pharmacy (ME / M.Tech./ M.Pharmacy / M.Arch ), Graduate Level Pharm-D (Post Baccalaureate).
This year (2024-25 session), TSCHE has given total responsibility to JNTU to manage and complete the overall admission process for the PG courses.
Key Points1:
- Candidates must apply by submitting their TS PGECET-2024 online applications only. Offline applications will not be accepted.
- The TS PGECET exam will be an online CBT (Computer Based Test).
- Examination timing will be 10.00 AM to 12.00 Noon. Candidates are advised to visit early at least 2 hours before the exam time.
- Timings are 2.00 PM to 4.00 PM for the afternoon sessions.
- The Question Papers will be in English only.
- It is the candidates’ responsibility to choose the test paper as per their admission requirements.
- Candidates must also ensure that they are fulfilling the eligibility criteria for admission.
- The exam will be managed through two different regional centers in the State of Telangana i.e., Hyderabad and Warangal.
Exam Pattern2:
Candidates must check the exam pattern carefully to get the exact idea about the question paper.
- In the 2024 TS PGECET exam, candidates will be asked 120 MCQ (Multiple Choice Questions) that they will have to answer.
- The exam duration will be 2 hours.
- The exam will be in an online CBT mode.
- Each question will carry one mark.
- There will be no negative marking. Candidates can attempt all the questions without worrying about negative marks for wrong answers.
- The qualifying percentage of marks for the TS PGECET-2024 is 25% of the maximum marks (i.e. 30 marks).
- There are no minimum qualifying marks for SC / ST candidates.

As per the official schedule, the last date to submit the TS PGECET online application is 10th May 2024. Candidates are advised to submit their applications as soon as possible and pay the required fee.
Please note that candidates can also fill out the online application form after 10th May but a late fee penalty will be applied in that case.

Online Application Process
All candidates who want to pursue their career in post-graduate courses in Telangana state must qualify for the PGECET exam. For that, a proper application that follows all the guidelines and instructions must be submitted on or before the last date. We have already shared all the important dates above.

Let’s have a look at the exact steps to register online and submit your application.
Step 1: Online fee payment:
- Visit the official website https://pgecet.tsche.ac.in/.
- Click the Application Fee Payment link on the homepage.
- Enter the Qualifying Exam Hall Ticket Number, candidate information, contact information, etc.
- Select the payment mode from the available options such as Net Banking, or Debit/Credit Card.
- Pay the required application fee.
- Download the fee payment receipt and note down the Payment Reference ID.
Note: Please note that candidates can pay the application fee through offline mode and also by visiting the TS / AP Online Payment Center. Check the User Guide for more information.
Step 2: Online application form filling:
After paying the application fee, candidates can proceed to submit their online application form.
Candidates can directly proceed to filling the application form after paying the application fee or they can fill the application form later with the help of the below steps.
- Visit the official website https://pgecet.tsche.ac.in/.
- Click the Fill Application Form link on the homepage.
- Enter the below information to proceed to the online application form.
- Payment Reference ID
- Qualifying Examination Hall Ticket No.
- Mobile Number
- Date of Birth (dd/mm/yyyy)
- Enter all required information.
- Upload the required documents including the candidate’s photograph and signature scanned image.
- Candidates must select the Declaration checkbox.
- Click the Save button to save all the progress.
- After saving the application form, candidates will get the option to verify all the details.
- Now candidates can correct the application if required to submit it finally.
- Click the Confirm / Freeze button to finish the application submission process.
A successful pop-up will be shown stating “Your Application confirmed successfully. Please note your Registration No for further Correspondence”.
Candidates must take a printout of their application form by clicking the “Print Application” button.

Application fee:
Candidates must submit their application form on or before 10th May 2024 if they do not want to pay the late fee. The application fee is given in the below table.

The above application fee is only for one test. For more tests, the application fee will have to be submitted again.
Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates must follow the below criteria to apply for admission into PG courses4.
- The candidate should be of Indian Nationality.
- The candidate should belong to the State of Telangana / Andhra Pradesh.
- The candidate should satisfy the local / non-local status requirements as laid down in the regulations of admission. (Ref. G.OMs.No.153 dated 22-08-2007).
- Candidate should obtain at least 50% marks (45% in case of candidate belonging to reserved category) in the qualifying examination.
- GATE-qualified candidates will get preference for admission to various PG professional programs in the Institutions / Colleges of the State of Telangana
TS PGECET Hall Ticket:
The Hall-Tickets are to be downloaded from the website: https://pgecet.tsche.ac.in/ The candidate will not be allowed into the test center without Hall- Ticket. Downloading of Hall Ticket will start from 28th May 2024 once the download link is activated by TSCHE on the official website.
