Haryana Constable Jobs in Police Department
As per the notification number ’02/2024′, the Haryana Staff Selection Commission is inviting applications for the Recruitment Of Mounted Armed Police Of the Police department[1].
We all know that the recruitment process for the Group ‘C’ and Group ‘D’ posts in various ministries/departments is managed by the Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC).
Similar to the upcoming NRA CET exam for the central government jobs in India, HSSC also introduced the Common Eligibility Test to hire candidates for the Group ‘C’ and ‘D’ posts in Haryana directly based on the candidate’s performance in the HSSC CET exam. Candidates’ CET scores will be used in place of the written test for Constable recruitment.
How to Apply?
To apply for the 66 posts of Male Constable (Mounted Armed Police) in the Haryana Police Department, candidates can submit their online application through the Haryana Staff Selection Commission website. Applications in online mode only will be accepted.
Required Documents:
Candidates must upload all required documents while applying online. A list of documents is given below. Candidates can check page number 11 of the official notification including the list of all the required documents2.
- Scanned copy of Essential Academic Qualifications and Matriculation Certificate showing Date of Birth and other relevant details.
- Scanned Copy of SC/BCA/BCB/EWS/ESM certificate, a certificate for the family member of ESM and children/grandchildren of Freedom Fighters.
- Scanned copy of Certificate claiming weightage/marks under socio-economic criteria and experience.
- Scanned Photograph and Signatures of the Candidate.
- Scanned copy of all documents showing higher qualification, experience, etc. as per criteria if applicable.
- Haryana Bonafide Resident certificate if applicable.
- Equivalence certificate, if applicable.
- EWS certificate valid for 2023-2024 as per Annexure-III.
- BC-A/BC-B Category Certificate valid for 2023-2024.
- Experience Certificate issued by the concerned competent Authority: Refer to Annexure-I for Department/Board/Corporation/Company/Statutory Body/Commission/ Authority/ Cooperative Banks etc. under Haryana Government for Socio-Economic weightage.
- Declaration Certificate as per Annexure-VI. (The declaration must be handwritten by the candidate himself in Hindi as well as in English).
- Discharge Certificate/Book, if discharged from the Armed Forces For (ESM)
- Eligibility certificate for family members of ESM.
- Eligibility certificate and Disability certificate for Dependent of Disabled ESM.

- Visit the official website www.hssc.gov.in.
- Click the new advertisement on the top side of the website stating “Advt. No 2 /2024 – Online Application For Recruitment of Mounted Armed Police of Police Department“.
- It will open the application portal to register and apply.
- If you have already qualified for the CET exam, you must register again here to apply for the constable job.
- Click the New Candidate link to start the registration process.
- On the next page, candidates can read important instructions before proceeding further.
- After that select the check box to accept all terms and conditions and click the Proceed button.
- On the next screen, candidates need to enter Group-C CET Registration Number.
- Press the Check Registration Details button to validate the registration data.
- Verify through the OTP you will receive on the registered mobile number and email address associated with your CET registration data[3].
- After the successful verification, candidates can submit their application online.

Recruitment Process:
As per the recruitment process stated in the official advertisement.
- Step 1 – Candidates need to register on the official website.
- Step 2 – Initially, candidates will be shortlisted based on their CET score.
- Step 3 – After that, candidates will be called for a Physical Measurement Test (PMT)6.
- Step 4 – All PMT-qualified candidates will be called for a Physical Screening Test (PST).
- Step 5 – After qualifying for the Physical Screening Test, candidates will be called for the Knowledge Test.
Knowledge Test will be an Offline (OMR-based) written examination in Hindi and English, with 64.5% weightage7.
