Walden University Student Portal

Walden University is using Microsoft services to manage its student portal. If you want to log in or reset your password then you will be redirected to the Microsoft website page. Please check the below-mentioned steps to log in.

There are two types of student portals available for students according to the learning method they opted for.

  1. MyWalden Student Portal – If you are enrolled in a course-based program, MyWalden is your student portal.
  2. Access MyTEMPO Student Portal – If you are enrolled in a competency-based program, MyTEMPO is your student portal.

How to access Walden University student portals?

You can access both portals through the official Walden website.

  1. Visit the Walden website https://www.waldenu.edu/.
  2. Click the Students link under the Login link in the top menu bar.
  3. You will see links for both MyWalden and MyTempo student portals.

1-MyWalden Student Portal login

Login through the official website:

Step 1: Open the official website.

Step 2: Click the Student link available under the Login menu item in the top bar.

Step 3: On the next page, click the Access MyWalden Student Portal link. You will be redirected to my Walden Student Portal page.

Step 4: Click the Login button to open the login page. You will find a Microsoft student login page for Walden University.

Step 5: Enter your user name (Walden University email address) and click the Next button. On the next screen, enter your password to access your student account.

Login through the direct link:

  • Open my Walden Student portal through the direct link https://my.waldenu.edu/.
  • Click the Login button. A login form will appear on the screen.
  • Enter your user name and press the Next button.
  • On the next page, enter your password and click the login button to access your account.

How to recover the User Name?

Your username is your Walden University email. If you don’t know your email address or forgot that then you can reach out to the student support service through the phone number and chat facility.

How to reset the password?

Password can be recovered through the login page. Please follow the below steps.

  • Open the MyWalden student portal.
  • Click the Go to Password reset link. You will be redirected to a new page that is managed by Microsoft.
  • Enter your username and the given security code. Click the Next button.
  • You will receive an email at your registered email address. Open the link you got through email and create a new password for your student account.

2-MyTEMPO Student Portal Login

Please follow the below steps to access the My Tempo student portal.

  1. Visit the Walden University website.
  2. Navigate to login -> Students from the top bar.
  3. You will see a student portal page of Walden University.
  4. Click the Access MyTEMPO Student Portal link.
  5. A login page (managed by Microsoft) will appear on the screen.
  6. Enter your student portal username and password and access your account.

Direct login: Please visit the MyTempo student portal login page directly at https://mytempo.waldenu.edu/ and access your account by entering your login credentials.

Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) setup

All student accounts are now protected with Multi-Factor Authentication. MFA is simply an extra login authentication used after entering your username and password to provide extra login security and prevent unauthorized access to your account.

Once set up, only the account owner can authenticate the login.

How to set up MFA?

Students can set up Multi-Factor Authentication through the Microsoft Authenticator app. Please click the below links to download the app.

After downloading the app, please follow the below steps to set up 2-factor authentication.

  1. Login to your myWalden student portal on a desktop.
  2. Navigate to My Account -> Password -> MFA (Multi-Factor Authentication) from the left navigation menu.
  3. Select the Mobile app under “How should we contact you” and select the “receive notifications for verification” option below that.
  4. Click the Set-up button to configure Mobile App.
  5. Open the Microsoft Authenticator app on your smartphone and tap on the ‘+’ sign on the top right to set up a new account.
  6. Select “Work or school account”.
  7. Scan the QR code image on the Configure mobile app window shown on your computer.
  8. Complete the rest of the process.

Now, whenever you log in next time, you will receive a notification through the Microsoft Authenticator app that you can approve or deny.

Students can check the list of current and completed courses through the dashboard page and attend the classroom by clicking the Go to Classroom link. Instructor name, course duration, and dates are also available under each course.
