What is iFHRMS?
iFHRMS full form is Integrated Financial and Human Resources Management System. It’s an e-governance initiative by the department of Finance Tamilnadu to manage all HRMS functions by bringing different departments online and providing real-time details of financial transactions.
This portal has been integrated with other departments and portals such as PFMS, AGTN (Accountant General (A&E), Tamil Nadu), Jeevan Pramaan, Income Tax Department, etc to provide and capture important data and MIS reports
Tamilnadu government has done a good job by providing a proper Human Resource Management System to the Finance department which helps in improving the overall employee productivity by providing an online fast and effective personnel management system.
The widely popular HRMS system adopted by many states for example Uttar Pradesh has adopted the Manav Sampada UP portal but it was not fulfilling the Tamilnadu government’s requirement to develop a financial management-related HRMS portal.
Objectives and benefits
The main objective to develop the portal is to provide a transparent, paper-less HRMS system to all employees which updates all government transactions in real-time and provide valuable insights to all stakeholders.
Now all employees can take the benefit from the online system which ultimately helps them in improving their overall efficiency. All employees can access different online services such as Pay-slip download, Prepare Salary Bill, Pension slip download, apply to leave online, etc.

How to log in?
All employees can log in on the official portal and access various services available for them as per their user role. Please check the below-given login steps.

Open the official website
First of all, You will have to open the official website. You may click www.karuvoolam.tn.gov.in to directly visit the homepage of the Tamilnadu Karuvoolam department.
Find the login option
On the home page of the Tamilnadu Finance Department website, you can find the Sign In link at the top bar of the website. The login link is also available in the top menu
Open the login page
To continue, click any one link. You will be redirected to a login page.
Enter your login credentials
On the login page, you will see different login options for employees and pensioners. Select one option and enter your user id and password. Your user id will be an 11-digit id and your password will be your date of birth in DDMMYYYY format. If you are not sure about your correct date of birth which is entered in the system then reach out to your DDO and ask them for your correct password.
Click the Login button
Finally, after entering the correct credentials click the Login button. If your login details are correct then you will see your dashboard page where you will find all available services which you can access.
iFHRMS Pay Slip download procedure
All employees can easily download their TN Payslips from the official portal with the help of the below-given steps.
- First, visit the official website.
- Click the login link on the top menu.
- Login by using your user id and password.
- Click the report link.
- Open the PAY SLIP option.
- Select month and Financial year.
- Click the GO button to download the Pay Slip PDF file.
- Open the Salary Slip PDF file and enter password to open it.

Click the Initiation and advance and then click the create link to submit a claim request.
